So Far, So Good. So What! is the third studio album by American thrash metal band Megadeth, released on January 19, 1988, by Capitol Records. It was the band's only album recorded with drummer Chuck Behler and guitarist Jeff Young, both of whom were fired from the band in early 1989, several months after the completion of the album's world tour.

MEGADETH recorded "So Far, So Good…So What!" with producer Paul Lani in mid-1987, and the process was relatively pain-free. But when it was time to mix and master the album Lani thought a change of scenery was a good idea, so he convinced Mustaine to finish the record with him at Bearsville Studio near Woodstock, N.Y. Things didn't work out the way both supposed they would and Mustaine.

When they switched to Megadeth, the song was retitled. 502 is U.S. police code for DUI (Driving Under the Influence of alcohol). "Liar" is dedicated to Chris Poland , who was fired from the band for stealing and pawning Dave Mustaine's guitars.
